Mary Kate Magee is an actor and screenwriter originally from Philly and educated in New York City who is now based out of Los Angeles. She has performed opposite film greats such as Lou Gossett Jr. and Lance Henriksen in the upcoming feature ‘Awaken the Reaper’ (Dir. Dave Campfield), and is known for her work in ‘Pushover’ (Dir. Brian Lederman) and ‘Forever a Clone’ (Dir. Louy Fierce) as well as for her Charlotte Tilbury skincare campaign. She is a versatile talent who has performed in a range of projects from emotionally fraught thrillers to light-hearted comedies. Mary Kate graduated with honors from Fordham University with a degree in Visuals Arts, concentration in Film & Video Production, and a double minor in Film Studies & Comparative Literature. She has had her poetry, prose, drawings, and photography published in literary magazines, and has installed exhibits of her drawings, paintings, and art films at galleries in Florence, Italy, and New York City. Mary Kate seeks to amplify underrepresented voices, and has a history of exploring women’s issues and experiences in her work. She is drawn towards psychology, relationship dynamics (and especially how they have evolved with social media, gen z, and hook-up culture), family dynamics, class, and social justice. Her work also often includes notes of humor because she just cannot help herself.
